Faded Into You

Opposites do attract and mesh together well, but I lack the ability to delve deep into you, become your second but opposite part.

Seven months ago, if your engagement had been announced, it would’ve been hard for me to accept. But now, I sincerely wish you all happiness, and I’ve not shed any tears or delved into sadness over this matter. At last, you found a woman who is your second half and someone who comforts and understands you without asking, just as you described in your entries.

There is nothing more pleasing for a troubled soul than to be soothed and comforted by somebody who understands without asking. A person who, if you look into her eyes, you just find deep and honest kindness and limitless understanding. An endless warehouse for every bad feeling you have, every doubt, and every misfit you’ve done before. A place where, no matter how short the time is, you can withdraw.

I hope you’re building a life and home full of feminine intimacy. The first few months after my relocation back to my home country, you occupied my thoughts, and I used to read your entries often, and I wished I was your only aim and desire. Now that you’ve found someone with whom you can settle down, I’m sure you’ll never leave and never hurt her. I believe you’ll never let your child see you separating. May you die under the veil of animosity and the cover of mediocrity, but be buried as a happy man.

The man who saw his son and daughter grow up and find their own ways.

The man whose hand is held until the last moment.

Remember that I fell and faded into you because of the way you’re a man with deep sensitivity in writing and photography who is showered with love from the many, and I’m one of the people just charmed by your wit and all the beautiful sides you’ve.

I’m certain that you will achieve your long-term goal of publishing your novel. You’re indeed a writer, and I hope to see myself reflected in your novel. It’s intriguing to consider how you might describe me or whether you would develop a character inspired by me. I hope I’ll find and recognize my imprint on you. The skills you’ve developed in writing and photography demonstrate your creativity, and I believe you can achieve great things. I hope she is the person I wish for you and want to be — someone who has a deep and positive impact on you, who is a source of your persistence, a foundation for your continued striving, someone you can rely on, and from whom you can draw encouragement.

It’s true that you can’t lose something you’ve never had; therefore, I didn’t lose you since I never considered you an object to be possessed. Have the wonderful and loving life you deserve, filled with strong bonding and beautiful shades of joy.
